Review on my F2 so far

Hey all. I have had my F2 for about a month, and all I can say is wow! I bought this as a "throw in my trunk" machine. I don't want to chance my CZ getting stolen. The first place I used it was the dry sand, and scored a nice "gold filled" bracelet. The second place I used it, is a site I have HAMMERED with my CZ70 (5" and 8" coils" ) The first target I dug using the 4" coil was a well worn 1897 barber quarter! It came from the middle of a path I know I have hit before, and gave a beautiful signal at 5 inches.I also found a small ww1 era lead soldier, and two wheats from the "teens" that the CZ missed. The third spot was a modern playground.I dug so much clad, I was sore as hell the next day. That little 4" coil is deadly! The good:Very light weight, drop in batteries, dead on pinpointing, super fast recovery speed,$125 used with two coils! The bad: Sometimes when I dig a good signal, and take the target out of the "matrix" The machine goes brain dead and has trouble relocating it.(minor annoyance),The notch feature is slightly confusing (again minor), My F2 swears every square tab is a nickel(yeah,I know I am CZ spoiled.) I will report back later on depth with the 8" coil.most reviews I've read say it won't go past 6" accurately.I will see.( I am in very low mineralized florida). Over all, this little"back up" machine rocks! Happy hunting.

Yes for the money you can't beat it whether you got 2 0r 3 coil package deal.

I bought a F2 off Big Boys about 2 weeks ago to go along with my X-terra 705 I have, if I want to take someone along. I went to the park with it and it was actually a really good machine for under $200! Two things that impressed me were #1, the kewl lightsaber-sounding pin point, which was dead-on center of the middle circle! and #2, it hit really hard on coins and 4 times it said 'tabs' on the targter ID, and I dug 4 tabs!...LOL

very, very easy machine too.. all you do is:
-turn it on
-set your sensitivity bar to the highest setting without too much chatter
-set your discrimination bar if you want to notch anything out
-start swining!

It seems every machine I have (starting with the F2) can't see the difference between tabs, nickels and pencil eraser bands! Yes, nickels are the most stable and steady ID, but it seems nothing else is so consistently hitting the same spot.
just sayin'

I've noticed that usually, a nickel will ring as a 30-32 on the display,,,i haven't had many vary from that range, and if they do, it's usually a shift either 1 less or more. Every pulltab that I've dug had anywhere from 29-38 VDI reading, usually varying buy 4 or more on the scan. The nickels also seem to have a softer sounding pitch to the tone than tabs, imo.
