Well, I had a brainstorm that coastwise should come to the lane with me for an am hunt. Got to the surf at a little after 1am. Guess who was with him? ladycoastwise! It was perty chilly, around 50 or so and we got after it. The low was at 302a -0.7L. The surf was VERY quiet (1 dime) and I thought something was wrong with the Excal, but coastwise's was quiet too. Sanded in was our assessment, so we went to another location. The next location was more target rich, but all I got was 3 pennies and that getto earring (unmarked non-ferrous). Quit at 730 am. cw & lcw left me about 530am (wise), but I had not completely lost the faith at that time. Now since I am a glutton for punishment, I think I'll go and do the same thing in the am, in a different location of course, with better results.

Gulf... Question for you... Are you hunting in the wetsand or water? I ask because I never hunt wet sand..

Wet sand is not hardly in my vocabulary Craig, I leave it usually for the others. I hunt ankle to chest deep, depending on where the denser weighted targets are most plentiful.
