Riki's turn - first rings for 2006

Ian (Japan)

Saturday afternoon beach hunt.
Riki called the beach to hunt, he wanted to dig old coins like Ken and I found last hunt. Fine by me. I worked in the morning, then went to have a look at Ken and Riki's elementary school art exhibition for half an hour or so, enjoyed that. Ken did the orchestra conductor plus painting and apron. Riki a clay man fishing and a painting too. The 'canslaw' art caught my eye, have seen a lot of that at the beach too.

Anyway, after the art, my wife dropped us off at the beach and took Ken to judo.
In the first hour Riki had a small 18K ring with 0.12 of diamonds (7) and not long after that a silver ring (left one on the scales). He was HAPPY and as such, slowed right down on the detecting. :) But was running around and around me for a while singing "Don't worry, be HAPPY now!".

Had a LOT of fun with him and also metal detecting today. The cold weather, light snow sometimes, didn't seem to matter, Au does that to people. :)

Added another silver ring and a piece of silver to my collection - on the scales. The coins were flowing too, with a few older ones.

Just for something different, CLICK HERE for more some art pics, including the rings. :)

HH and hope you all got out there too.
Riki and Ian @ the land of the rising rings. :)

Very nice rings....I remember you posting that you got that nice little scale...gotta get one of those.

Cheers!
