twas a good day. this is bout my 6 time out with my v3i. starting to get the hang of it. im getting alot better at pinpointing, except when its inch or less.

started out at a 10-15 yr old park. huge. bunch of pinic tables and just wide out area

hunted for around 1 1/2 hr. first target had 2 quarters, 3 dimes and a nickel in it. bout 20 min later
i got a really hard 85 hit. 85 85. pinpointed it 0inch.
scraped some dirt off top and there it was silver ring just poking up. found more clad

next went to a brand new place with my dad. has a church and two houses on the property. dont beleive anyone has
ever hit it. church says 1870somthing on sign. houses are prolly early 1900s. the dirt at the first white house we hit was
nothing short of amazing. digger sank. first 5 min bam! 4 inches down barber. pulled 3 wheats more
and then it got really rainey and wet. cant wait to go back, its a hunters dream. full access!

Sounds like you found yourself a great place to go. I must agree the V3i is an excellent machine, I use one too.

yes its a good machine. the best part of this place is in the front yard
i can easily run rx15 and i could even turn on boost and the detector didnt false. there is so little junk in the yard.

as soon as i got in the back of yard tho there was a power line close and i had lower my gain.

talked to a man whos lived in the town for 50 years. he said hes never seen anyone detect the area. the one house we were at majority of the
time, a single man lived there his whole life. no wife. no kids. he was the president of a bank. that explains the lack of targets. cant
see him dropping many coins through the years

the other house the pastor lived in and many kids through the yard.

the church looks amazing.

we've found that almost everyone here in Virginia lets us if we ask. My dad and I were driving around one day looking for a spot to hit and saw this church and drooled. we didn't think we would get permission tho since they still held service there

Dad went by a week or later and some guys were out in the yard working, talked to them, they gave him the number who the guy who takes care of the whole place, because they still have church there.

Dad left a message on his phone and he called back and said no problem.

rarely do you find a 1800's honeyhole virgin soil and get permission immediately with no contact to the people
