Does any one know how to tell the difference between a gold ring and a platinum ring... found a ring last fall with a 10kp-sh stamped inside. Looks like white gold but it could very well be platinum too. Thanks in advance for any help....... Gene

posted a very informative Jewelry VDI reading post earlier last year. This is when I was just starting out and wasn't smart enough to save it for prosperity or repost later.
If I remember correctly the post listed differet ring material and sizes with the normal VDI readings for each.
If you read this Jim... don't shoot me, but possibly you still have the info to post. I'd like to see it again anyway....
