Ring returned

7centsworth

Well-known member
I was asked the other day if my metal detector would find a tungsten ring. I told him yes and he said someone googled itand said detectors would not pick it up. I told him they would. Well anyway he was at a little league football practice and a coach from another team had losthis tungsten wedding band. I told him I would look for it friday when I got off work. It was suppose to rain so I made my detector waterproof . I asked where he thought he lost it and he thought the coach lost it close to the endzone. He did not even know the coaches last name. Well yesterday I got to the place and wentto the endzone and started detecting first couple of steps bam 42 up comes a quarter. Then a few more surface coins as I was only digging targets with 2 arrows or less. I hunted the endzone and halve of the field . I could barely see the painted lines on the small practice field . I thought itonly had the one endzone marked so I figured thatwas were he was talking about. Then after about an hour i seen the other endzone , so i walked down and within 10 minutes i got a good 14 on the tid one arrow . I moved the grass back and I almost messed my pants there it was. I called the guy I work with and he gotin touch with the guy . He called me and man was he happy . He had video of him buying it in mexico. Here are the pictures of the ring with him and the coins I found. After he got it he told me itwas titinium.

Good for you for not giving up while searching.

I am sure the owner was even more pleased than his smile in the picture. Excellent outcome - and congrats on a fine job.

Way to go!

Making somebody else happy, the greatest treasure of all.

Travis, I wish I had went with you' just to see the look on your face.:surprised: Any way congratulations. By the way did you ask him how old his house was. Joe
