I have been relic hunting since the 90's,using Fisher cz's. I didn't see any reason to switch detectors.Last week I did an organized hunt in the worst Virginia red clay I have ever seen. I had a lot of trouble keeping the cz working right. After the first day of finding nothing,I borrowed my buddies T2. WOW ! It felt just as light as my cz chest mounted does. The recovery speed is amazing. My first time using, and pinpointing with a DD coil was no problem.ground balancing is simple.I was only using one tone, but I actually preferred it over the other audio features. I was sweeping right between two previously dug holes that had iron signals, but was also getting a non ferrous hit. It turned out to be a real nice eagle button at about 4.5 inches. If the machine works this good in some of the worst soil on earth,I can't wait to try it at a normal site! Do most relic hunters use the all metal mode,or the disc mode with boost enabled? Can you even use boost in all metal mode? I will be buying a T2 or F75. I am a diehard fisher fan,but having used the T2 for two days and reading about both machines,I think the T2 is easier to use. I also like the 40 numbers for iron,I dug some cool iron relics, that read high up on the scale or gave the overload signal. I told my buddy, I had good news and bad. The good news was I was finding alot of relics,The bad news was he wasn't getting the T2 back! Thanks.
