Round vs Elliptical question

A few day ago I took my 11LF" to a light trash area in a park and found a couple of keepers. I decided to return the next day and run it a little hotter. Bad decision. It had rained the night before and it immediately began to false like crazy. Turned settings back down but still no go. I put the 9" LF on and it was much better. Here's the question. For field hunting would yall stick with the 9/11 LF combo or do the 9"HF round? I love the elliptical but wonder if the round that I don't have would be worth it for the added coverage as well as running a bit quieter. Thanks.

I use the 11 inch LF coil on a site if ground and EMI conditions allow, then go back over with the Elliptical coil and that hoovers up anything the 11"LF missed :) The 9"HF would do the same as the Elliptical maybe a hair deeper

The HF elliptical coil and the round HF coil,, both will see some of the same nonferrous target.
The round HF coil will see some targets the HF elliptical won't.
The HF elliptical coil, will see some targets the round HF coil won't.

The round HF coil will see some targets the 9" LF coil won't.
The round HF coil, will see some targets the 11" LF coil won't.

Yeah what he said and if you walk with a limp on the left side you will find more
