RSC Ring?

TN Mike

Member
Went on a short hunt at a park that I had hunted a while back with little success. Tried a different part and with in 30 mins had dug a good bit of tabs and small can slaw along with some clad when I hit this.

About one inch under. Not sure if this ring is silver with a gold plate or if its just plain junk.. any help is appreciated.

Marked RSC, which with a little digging proved to be R.S. Covenant, but didn't help with the determining the quality. Its certainly not gold.. maybe plated silver? Note the black specs..?

Either way its nice to find rings.

A plated ring, either over a brass-alloy or silver, can be filed down past the plating to see the base metal. Usually, but not always, plated over silver is marked. I got one at the beach last month marked 18kgp along with a 925 stamp.
