 Saying good by to my motorcycle...

Pete in MI

New member
had hopes after getting it spring of last year to be riding and spreading the Gospel by summer last year. Here it is spring a year later and nothing has been an indication that this is where the Lord wants me. Motorcycle remains unlicensed, unregistered in this state (bought it in Indiana and trailered it here), right side mirror and fluid reservoir still not changed, the carbs have not been rebuilt even though I have the parts...but not the gauges to synchronize them...a must do for the bike to run properly.

All the communications back and forth in the past year between Bikers for Christ (National) and the State elder of the only chapter in Michigan - (out by Caro, MI) in the Thumb and myself have still gone no where. Even getting with a more local Christian Motorcycle Association in Mt. Pleasant has gone no where. Spent a lot of money for what? Have a large heavy paper weight.

Another thing is the blood thinners. I get in an accident on the road with the bike I'd risk bleeding to death even before help got there.

So going to toss in the towel on what 'I' thought would be a ministry I could serve God with. Guess I am realizing now that had that been what God wanted the doors would have been open evey step of the way.

Anyone interested in buying a motorcycle? (1979 Honda CX 500 Custom).

I'll let God point me where He wants me to be.

Do not be hasty. if this is something that you have your heart into then be patient and allow Him to show you in His time.I purchased my scoot for the very same reason and allthough i have had a few small devine appointments along that ministry He has used me in other ways with people that i have met because of my scoot allthough they didn't actually involve riding it.
Our Lord uses us in His ministry in His way.I think it don't matter what we decide, we don't get to pick and choose where He will use us.

In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths!

Prov 3:6! So be patient, Bro Pete, and don't jump ahead of what God has planned for you to do for Him. Maybe it's riding in a Christian Motorcycle Group and maybe it's not. Seek, search and find His Will, for the Lord is good!!

God Bless!
Sister Betty
