Found this peice at a very early site yesterday. Is it part of a saddle strap?? Any ideas???
 
It is made of iron and is approxmently 3/8" thick. Appears to be built heavy and would be quite strong.
 
It's a rifle scope mount. If you can clean the interior of the ring; you should find an interior diameter of 1 inch down to 3/4 inch if is a US mount. If it falls into millimeters it's a foreign import. Good hunting, David @ Dixie
