seems like places to detect are getting harder to find:confused:called city hall to see if the city park allowed detecting.no way jose, forget it you are not wanted there, funny they couldn't find a city ordinance:confused:that means going out of town ,at this gas prices and being retired and living on s.s.??
might as well sit in front of the tube ,drink a dr.pepper and munch on some chips:(good thing i have two western channels to watch, love those old western movies without them would go :crazy:god bless.

Just remember that some of the only undetected ground is old yards! There are so many treasures waiting for us, if we just ask! :)

development sites.... Where they are building houses. A developer will get to clearing and so forth and I've always had good luck (especially if they are clearing old farm land or woods). I've never had anyone come up to me and say anything except one time. The developer was riding thru looking at his progress and stopped. He told me who he was and ask me if I had any luck. He also told me about some old houses that use to be on the end of the property. I usually go out on Sunday afternoon when all is quiet. Not really trying to be sneaky but I don't want some foreman who thinks he has authority to tell me to leave. AND in a few months its all going to be covered by grass and houses that look just alike. Take it for what its worth.

I almost never get turned down! :)

Yep, you're right. Seems that whenever you ask permission, it's almost always going to be a no. If you just go detecting, chances are the cops will ride by and wave at you, but don't ask at HQ. I've had that deal where they couldn't find an ordinance forbidding detecting, but the answer was no anyway. They just don't like to see us have a good time.......

Whre are you from?
Hope you stop by more!

God bless!

I'm from Virginia. I've been on several of the above forums and thought I'd check out the Christian Forum. This is a good one. I'm going to stay tuned.

I'm coming to VA in April for a big CW dig. :)

Welcome to the best forum of all!

I wish you the best always
I'm coming to VA in April for a big CW dig. :)
I hope you have alot of luck. I had a "big" CW dig last year, and I'm hoping to have another one soon, but these big digs were all by accident, if you know what I mean...........I never have been to an "organized" hunt, but I'm sure they're fun........Thanks

of VA are you in?
