Safari gets silver ring and change

GENE EDWARDS

New member
Had a good day with my Safari. This beach I worked today has a lot of trash, Nails, Tabs, bottle caps and lots of melted pop can pieces. So I used relic mode, but cut out everything but +37,38,39 and +14,15 . I found one small silver ring and $9.34 in change. Lots of nickles , dimes, and quarters. In this mode dimes and quarters have a very high pitch single tone if deep, or a very high calliope sound if not very deep. Nickles still have a lower tone. At this setting I still dig lots of pull tabs so in know I'm not missing gold rings. But you do have to slow down your swing to get the good targets in among the trash, but the Safari will get the good stuff in all the junk. I do like this machine. Gene

I just got one today............any help appreciated...Tinfoil has been a big help..guided me through some settings

Gene good detecting.
It is a good detector very pleased with mine. It is the only detector I have been able to use in all metal mode. I actually enjoy hunting again and not racing through the beach to see how many coins and how far I can go today. I don't even do a quarter of what I used to do before but yet I find as much or more than I did by covering much, much more of the beach. Also getting to the point that I can keep swinging just by the sounds. I know that I am missing things but it is not so frustrating digging too much junk and not much good at this point in time for me. I have dug enough number 12 and 17 with 39/40 tones. I am still using factory settings. Except target and threshold are turned down.
Gene you are doing really good ....Z

Hey, that's a sweet little ring!! Like I told you, those are harder to find that the larger ones, so you really must have been paying attention to your detector.

How deep was it, and what did it register on your screen?
