Safari Problem

GENE EDWARDS

New member
Has anyone had a problem with the shaft slowly working it's way out of the control box where it locks? If so do you have a fix for this? thanks Gene

This may not be the problem, but that happened with my E-Trac... until I figured out that the cam lock to the lower shaft goes on the bottom, not the top.

Gene,

That happened the first time that I used my Safari until I realized that I had not inserted it completely into the upper assembly. It felt like it was all the way in but began to wobble after about an hour's use. I loosened the upper cam and the shaft slid further into the assembly and has not been a problem since.

Hope this helps,
Tom Henrique

Gene that happened to me too. The shaft came out of the control housing box. I just put it back in and made sure it was all the way in. It hasn't happened again. By the way that is another thing I like about the Safari no shaft wobble....Z
