Sand blowers

Ive always used my hand but you can also carry a ping pong ball paddle but its just one more thing to carry. Good luck

'Fanning' with the hand works really good. I also carry a 3 pronged garden trowel. Use that when I get below the sand and the bottom is hard clay and I still am getting a signal. I have a really small diving 'goody bag' that I clip to the front of me. I put everything in that and sort it out when I get my gear put away. If there is something particularly valuable I stuff it way inside my wetsuit sleeve. I also found that my low back would get sore because of the arched position while laying on the bottom. Your chest has to be up to work, also it floats because of the lung air and the tank as it gets low, so I attached 2-3lb weights to the front of me as if they were on my suspenders just below the shoulders in the front and I also found out this year that if I put on 3 lb ankle weights my body stayed in a mutch more natural position and I didn't experience the strain from the continual arch in the low back...Jim
