Sat's Hunt

Had one of the guys from the club coming over after 1pm to do a short hunt so i thought id sneak off to a local park for about an hour before he came. Brought my Grandson along to do my digging lol. I didnt realize that came at a price... all the clad. I ended up finding the newer BS holder and the nice 925 silver ring.

We my bud showed up we headed out to a spot we hoped would produce. Wasnt there long until 3 other club members showed up to see how we were doing. I had found the San Diego Old Town flat penny and some clad was about it. We spend an hour or so and just wasnt very productive so we packed it up and headed to another spot.... where we met the other club members. We walked over to see how they were doing and they already had 7 or 8 silver. We headed back to the truck to get out the detectors. Almost right out of the truck i dug the 1941 silver quarter... this was looking good. We hunted around for another hour or two and called it a day. My buddy had just gotten back from Calf where he spent 10 days in a tent in the cold hunting for gold.... he was whipped. I got the 2 war nickels, cool older BS holder, 1 merc and about a half dozen wheats. The total silver for the day by everyone was amazing.....somewhere around 25. Thou i enjoyed my hunting in Fla.... you just cant dig this stuff down there.

Sounds like your doing good Dew! You need to take me with you guys so I can clear all the wheats out of the way :detecting:

Where did the photos go?? O well ill do it again. I didnt even mention the wheats... they ended up posting a couple hands full of them, but they were mostly looking for silver. The weather was about to blow us away. I really enjoy when you can find a place that 5 people can hunt and talk about their finds.
 
Hey Darrell..... can you see the 9 2 5? thats what it looks like haha. Where you been hiding? Hey i can alway use a clad and junk cleaner anytime. We are going to have to hit one of those parks again soon. Ive noticed the silver we are finding this year are being masked a little more. The quarter i found read way low.... below where a half would read but on the line. One of the guys who ended up with 5 silver quarters said the same thing.... they just wasnt reading like quarters. Must be why all this silver was missed among all that iron. Thanks everyone sorry about the pictures... but i dont post them very often.
 
Jim are you the one that hunts with Darrell? If so getting muddy in those fields or making any good finds yet? I had to come back from Fla to find a decent piece of silver jewelry.
