Saturday's finds

Managed to dig a few early period relics this weekend. 4 one-piece flat buttons all b/m Warranted Double Gilt, .69caliber roundball, .50caliber Smiths (fired) and melted lead. A thimble, toe plates, shield nickel and a 1859 I.H. It felt great getting out after being sick all Thanksgiving Holidays.

Very nice finds! Love the Shield nickel and the Indian. Can you make out a date on the Shield? I found two of the 59 Indians (Fatties) this year along with an 1866 Shield and I'm still in shock! Did I say VERY VERY NICE FINDS???? Thanks for sharing, Nancy
