Saturday's Process.

I have a couple of questions on the "Process." Why 60 on the sensitivity? Is that to keep the chatter down? Doesn't a higher sens. mean more depth per se? As to the 39 on discrimination, I am on that like a duck on a june bug. Even though, I have only used my T2 SE once, I really like that setting because I can see the fluctuation over something like an aluminum can. And the bp is self explanatory, but if you are coin shooting, do you feel like you will lose hits on items closer to the surface. I thought I read somewhere that there was a trade off on short term distance vs. long term distance?

Still learning, so if the questions are not the best, then I apologize in advance.

I don't coin shoot. I hunt relics in fields loaded with iron targets with tall grass and hay. 60 sensitivity is the perfect amount. Depth of detection and the ability to hear just the right amount of signal, both ferrous and non. 39 disc. Chops small iron and larger pieces only respond with a signal when sweeping in one direction. BP requires some air gap between the coil and the ground. if you scrub the coil it will boost signal on unwanted targets.

Woodchip - I'm curious. I, like you, hunt a lot of fields loaded w/iron searching for relics and am slowly getting the hang of "the process." However, I also hunt old homesites/yards as well. For example, Thursday I hope to hunt an old homesite here in Virginia that was supposedly used as a hospital during the Civil war. The house is obviously pre-Civil War and at a crossroads in a rural area. There could be some CW buttons, etc there, but also coins and other artifacts. If you were hunting that type of location with the T2, what setting would be your first choice? Would you try multiple settings over the same areas? Thanks for all your help.

2 tone is what i run in yards. I have cold rock in my area and want to avoid high pitch sound.
