Saw a good deal on a Landstar

I was browsing around a pawnshop today and I saw a Landstar there for $49.99. It looked well used, all it needed was a battery door. So should I get it.

Yes Scott, that's a very good price for an excellent detector. I've had an LS for 3 years with no problems and have made many good finds of coins and jewelry. It works pretty well on salt beaches too, because of it's manual ground balance and 180 degree discrimination. The notch control works well for quick searches of trashy ground as it cancels most trash items while still finding nickels, rings and coins. You should be able to get another batt. door from First Texas and a instruction manual if you need one. First Texas has a good record of repair work too, if needed. Try it first on various items before
buying to see if it still works OK. Good Luck with this great hobby.

I just got a LandStar off eBay for $150.00, so $50.00 is a steal in my opinion...the detector new is almost $450.00. Grab it fast, and order the new door...
