Ten years ago I met an elderly gentleman and his wife while detecting. This couple would walk every morning and their walks would take them by two of my favorite detecting spots. I learned that Don was a semi-retired clergyman and he had been detecting for many years. He did volunteer work at the local prison and was plain and simple a man who we all should try to be like. We spent many hours detecting and talking over coffee after we were finished. His wife suffered a stroke three years ago and he spent all of his time taking care of her. Our detecting days were over and I hardly ever saw Don out and about. He passed away Saturday and his life's journey ended, but his spirit will be with me for the rest of my years. Please say a prayer for this fine man.
