Nothing extra special here, but I thought I would post my most recent "good" finds from hunting a local school total of 8-10 hrs. over a 4 day period.
Mind you, I've pounded it with 3 different detectors I've owned before attacking it with the Deus.
The deus has pulled more silver than all 3 previous detectors together. The area is full of pulltabs, nails, bolts, foil, crown caps...you get the picture.

I get a lot of clad out of the area but That's not the focus of my hunts there. It's to pull the silver out of a site that has been hammered since detectors were popular.
It's close to home and a place I can hone the craft of finding goodies amongst the trash.

I use 2 programs, 4KHz primary and an 8KHz duplicate program to compare signals.

The pin back next to the rings is 100% sterling silver. First I've seen of it's type.
A couple dimes and one wheat were found with a silver plated snap with leather attached and shaped iron wire. Once I realized what I had found (change purse), I searched the general area very carefully.
Was hoping to find a silver or gold ring. Long shot but sometimes people keep more than change in them.

Looks like you've found a good area! You may be able to go back with higher reactivity settings and coax more silver out from hiding!

CZ, I'm going to try that. I haven't found where high reactivity saw anything that low reactivity couldn't see (where silver is concerned), but I know it isolates the coins much better making them unmistakable from nearby iron falsing.

I just dug a silver quarter yesterday that was next to large iron. The signal was typical of large iron bolt or nail with a sweet spot near the edge. Even when I went to pinpoint to see if it was two targets, it appeared like the end of a large bolt or nail.
But when IDing it between 4K and 8K, I got a difference of a few points in the right direction. I was totally surprised to see the silver quarter that came out of the side of the hole (typical of iron pinpointing off center).
I'm just glad I didn't gouge it with my Lesche when I presumed it was trash.

I believe if I had higher reactivity (Operating in R1) my assessment of a good target would have been much better.
I can see why people have passed up many of these coins, they were iffy even with the Deus, but I had enough info to know the target was worth digging.
