went to a park that I have hunted at a ton of times before and never even dug a wheat there let alone a silver. But then again I have never used the etrac there before either. I went back today to give it a shot for a short hunt. I planned on only digging signals 5-6" or deeper.

I got a scratchy dime signal that only hit from one way, nulled from all other directions. So I flipped it into 2 tone ferrous and I got a solid 09-45 from one way and 10-45 from the other direction. Dug down about 5 inches and out popped my first ever silver from this park....1944 merc. A few minutes later I got a similar signal and it was a wheat.

Got a 4-5" deep quarter signal and I normally dig all quarter signals anyhow, just in case it could be a silver ring. Anyhow I ended up going about 8" deep and found this old brass lock. Last thing I found was the fancy handle, I think it is brass and possibly an old shaver handle? Anyhow I will have to give this park a lil more attention on days when I don't have an old farm to go to.

The eTrac opens new doors - it really is a superior machine. Your experience seems to be the lot of many who swap to an eTrac. Well done G4E.

That silver is in good shape too. Congratulations.

How big are the lock and the handle? Hard to tell, but I have poor depth preception when I am looking at the computer screen. Is it the same size as a standard shaver handle? If so that lock is pretty big (yes ?).

the lock is fairly good size, fills the palm of my hand..........and work is great, just finished 8 weeks. I really like the job, and I can honestly say I don't mind getting out of bed at 430 am to go to work there

Glad to hear it
