Scorpion Still Valid

While there are newer machines on the market, the Scorpion still does what it was designed to do. I primarily hunt nuggets and still use the Scorpion as one of a trio of machines. My primary machine is a GB 2. There are times I need the stability of the lower frequency Scorpion. This is the machine I let others use, it is easier to use than the GB2 or my Infinium. The Infinium I use in severe ground and to look for deeper nuggets. I spot check where I've found nuggets with the VLF detectors, just in case. Because the Scorpion has discrimination, it works as a general purpose detector. So while there are improved machines from Garrett this old trooper still works.
