Scorpion to an ol' farmsite

Bugar In. USA

Got the Ok to detect an old house and bunkhouse, did a quick re-con to see if anything is there -YUP- bunches of beeps, so lingered for a few mins and dug a few louder sounds, most stuff was around 10 in, some stuff was so big and deep i couldn' get it out, will need a big digger or spade=mebbe a helper, here's some horseshoes a busted hatchet, brass coathanger, hitchpin, and some clad from near the road, I will be working this site, it's only 2 mi from where I live., may end up using a Scorpion in each Hand:detecting::detecting::garrett:

Lots of oldies there.
Good area for some interesting finds.

Were you using the all metal mode? I've used my scorpion at a couple old sites, but only ran with disc mode. When the crops get plowed under again I want to also hit it with my ACE! There's one place where I kept getting a signal under a tree...I couldn't ever dig deep enough to find the object. I'd like to think it wasn't just mineralization in the tree roots! Not only that, there are a TON of huge old trees that didn't get a good shakedown with the detector. That's where I almost got a heart attack this March when I dug a signal at the corner of an old shed. I dug a bit, then saw the bottom of a glass jar!! Unfortunately it was just a glass jar. Dang. But I'd like to think there's another container out there full of something way better!!

I was usin disc, and switchin to all metal from time to time, then sometimes all metal and switchin to disc, use All metal for sizing the targets since it is so accurate, if I'm still getting a strong signal with the coil bout a foot or so above the target it's usually a purty big UN', I use the garrett screwdriver/probe thingie to size stuff under bout 8 in deep by pokin around=THEN I DIIIIIG=DIIIG=DIIIG=>:detecting:

Great old finds! We've been huntin' some older areas that I've researched and been gettin' similar items. I notice several coins in the pic. May I ask what date range they fall into. It seems like a very promissing site. I'd be hittin' that place hard! Best of luck to ya'! Thanks for sharin'. Happy Hunting!:)

coins were in 50's and 60's, one wheatie, one rosie in good shape, some newer zincs70's and dimes , qtrs 70's, the property is absolutely full of signals =EVERYWHERE= and have been told has not been detected to anyone's knowledge :detecting:
