I have used Sun Ray probes for years. With the Sun Ray probe, it has the disc or all metal mode of the detector, its like a 1" coil. You don't have to remove your head phones to hear, like you do with some others. The Uniprobe's are a PI unit with no disc. They also list for $350.00 and their pocket probe list's for $299.00. I have a friend that has the pocket probe, he has to use a ear bud under his head phones to hear it or take his head phones off and it does not get that 5" to 6" claimed depth, more like 2" to 3". Not everyone change's detectors every year. But it all boil's down to what ever works for you......HH..BJ
