Scratched a tot lot find......

John(Tx)

New member
I found this at a tot lot that I have worked a few times. Got a solid 58 and 4" down there it was, I wasn't expecting to find anything like this in this area so I was surprised and also upset at myself for scratching it up because this buffalo has clarity, I can see everything real good. This tot lot has alot of new gravel and noticed that the dirt was really black, must of been filled in, sure wish I knew where this fill dirt came from. I have also been working a not so old park with my G2 that has tons of pulltabs, so, I set my G2 at 80 disc and go at it. All the 83's have been either a dime or copper penny, the 85-88 have been a quarter or $1 coin, have pulled over 40 quarters from this park, when I have more time I will set disc at 40 and see if there are any gold rings in there, I know it has seen hundreds of people since this is the area several small carnivals come by every year. One carnival left today so this afternoon I will be there again. Thanks for looking and HH. John

Great find John.----We've all been guilty of scratching coins on retrieval from time to time.---Seems like it always happens when you least expect it to.----I dug a Morgan dollar from under a tree root awhile back & ended up putting a nice sctratch on it getting it out of there. Still kicking myself over that one.-----That's a nice Buff.--congrats.-----------Del

that is a great find , looks like it was never circulated, exept for your lesh knife, well you know the policy of excivators is to pile up the top soil and use it again for top soil so that how it got thear and could be more, keep up the good finds
