SE and Gold

Boony

New member
Hi Guys,

Has anyone tried the SE in Gold Fields, I'm thinking about heading to the West Coast of Tassie where they pick up an odd gold nugget and just wondered if the SE will work satisfactory on natural gold?

Regards Boony

Hi Boony, I'm not really sure but imagine if the size, weight,Shape is sufficient that it would hit O.K....Gold detectors such as the Minelab GP series, Fisher Goldbug & Whites MXT...will pick up much smaller & deeper pieces but they have no I.D. whatsoever & will pick up EVERY little piece of metal in the ground.
