SE slimline coil for XS

Eric

New member
I have a XS with the stock coil. I am okay with the weight but I wonder if aside from the weight, the slimline coil has more advantages? Is it more sensitive? I can pick up a slimline coil but also a 8'' explorer coil. If the 10'' gives me no more advantages then maybe I better invest in the small coil?

Thanks, Eric.

Eric I think you would be better off buying the 8"coil or buying the new 11"Pro coil as the Slimline will only give you a little less weight. This is only my opinion of what i would. Happy hunting!

Frank,

thanks for your answer. I think that it is better to go for the small coil. If there is not really an advantage I won't waste my money on another coil.

There was a time when the older coils were really sought after when the slimline first came out. Personally... the Pro coil or SEF would be a much better choice if you want to upgrade to something that size. I prefer the 6" to the 8" thou.
