I'm getting the hang of it and really starting to like it, although I wish I could toggle from the coil to the X-1 and not have to toggle off of pinpoint and back to get it to settle down. But as I've been using it, a couple of questions have been raised:
1) What is the depth difference, if any, between the VCO and the normal mode?
2) Has anyone significantly tested using the pinpoint as a main search method?
- I've been experimenting with that a little and it looks like it could work--certainly is nice to scan the area of a possible target in trashy areas and learn what's where. Though it seems like the screen doesn't update instantly like I thought I'd seen someone post. As I can best determine, I have to pause after each signal to get it to update. It's been interesting to see that the VCO seems to more accurately ID the targets (at least with what I've dug so far). Seems like this might be an avenue worth exploring more but wondered if anyone else has been trying that too. If it had variable tones as well, I think I'd really, really like it in some situations (like these very trashy ones).
