Sea Hunter Mark 2

Got My Mark 2 last week Because my 250 can't swim lol . Well anyway does the Mark 2 give a different sound the deeper the target ? also anyone have a tip on using a scoop ? The hole I dug last night dropped the Gulf two inches Thanks -- Graw

It has modulated audio, so the deeper the target, the less audio you get.

Once you determine where the target is centered, I leave the coil flat on the ground, and push my toe against it. Next, I put the tip of the scoop in the sand directly touching my toe, then, I usually insert the scoop at about 45 degrees, and take out my first scoop. Usually, my target is in it the first time, but not always. You can also use the outside of the coil to pinpoint shallow targets. I just position the coil at about 90 degrees to the bottom and the strongest signal is closest to the side of the coil. It kind of acts like a pinpointer. I use my PI in the water from just above the knees. a ways out from shore. This cuts out a lot of the junk targets. the shallow stuff I often get using the sniper coil on the ACE, as the targets are more concentrated near the waters edge.

Hope this helps......"Practice makes perfect" :)

Deeper the target fainter the signal. You can use John's okay method with the scoop or put the scoop right up against the back of the coil and shove it down at an angle. Move the coil out of the way first of course. :)
