when using this detector on a beach,which is better for finding targets?the 14 inch mono or the 8 inch?i know the 14 inch covers more with every swing but I have trouble pinpointing a target with it.is there really much difference in the depth?blowfly
 
I have the 8" on mine and have no problems PP, I do know that it's easier to use in the surf ,
 
I found either coil about the same. I would always raise the coil above the target and do my X crosses to establish center. Below is an interesting thread discussing the depth between the two coils on an Infinium, however, it should also apply to the Sea Hunter as well.
