Sealing a new case

Hi Eric & Bill, I just got a new casing for my Whites PI, the other one cracked in 2 places. My question is this, what kinda sealant should I use on the cables going into the machine.
Thanks
JP

The cables clamps are self sealing around the cables themselves. I use a little low-volate RTV sealant around the threads of the clamps. Be sure to use low-volate RTV because regular RTV is very corrosive to electrical wiring, the low is to a lessor degree so use sparingly.

Hi JP,
The sealing glands used are rated at IP68, which is full submersion, without the need for any sealant. However, there is no harm in being extra safe and applying a bit of sealant as per Bill's instructions.
Eric.
