We were able to get out and get into the woods this weekend in CT. Working some private land real close to state property. We have pulled a lot of stuff out of here so far. Got my first seated quarter 1876. Monkey off of my back!!! It was also reading 00-28 and bouncing back to 00-27 but I knew that it was a silver quarter by the tone. It was only about 2 inches into the dirt and roughly 8 inches all together considering the amount of leaf litter and all. About 20 feet away I locked onto a LC that always reads 00-28 but sounds like a copper, and there ended up being two in the hole, 33 and a 41. The LC's are pretty clean for me. All of my old copper finds are usually coroded to the point that they do not make the grade into the collection book. The silver jewelry is a Georg Jensen model 14 cufflink. I think it is a cufflink anyway. They are pretty valuable if I had a pair.
