Second coil for the Infinium

Asking this question of the forum.....if one would get a second coil, which would be your favorite and why. I'm looking at the 8 inch mono...I have the stock 10x14 now and I like it for the beach but as I'll be doing some relic hunting, I think a smaller coil might be better. Thanks, Jim

The 8" mono would be a good choice. Its light, gets great depth and is easy to pin point with. You just raise the coil off the target till it goes faint, then move it around until you get the strongest signal, which would be center of the coil.

I couldn't agree more with John. I have every coil made by Garrett for the LS (except for 10"x14" mono, which is coming soon) and that 8" mono gets the most use by far. Good grief it goes deep! It's highly maneuverable around brush, etc. It's really good for the beach, too. It's ALOT easier to move through the water than that stock 10"x14" double "D" search coil. I am getting the 10"x14" mono for it though because I got one for my MKll and it's awesome. It's lightweight, covers alot of ground and goes(too)deep:biggrin:Wifey needs to follow me with big shovel:wiggle: Best of luck to ya'! Happy Hunting!:)

Thanks Metalhead and John....will let you know what I find as soon as I get it....Regards, Jim
