Second silver ring.....good day!

Spent three productive hours at a soccer field today. Wish I could have stayed longer, but, duty called. I hit on a quarter target and came up with a really pretty silver ring. The maker's mark is three arrows pointing up with "925" below, maybe you can see it in the pic. There is also what looks like a copyright symbol just to the right of the mark? It is quite heavy for being such a small size:

Here is a rather fuzzy shot of the whole ring.......

And today's 3 hour take of clad.....12 quarters, 4 nickels, 15 dimes and 8 pennies (that should have been dimes! ::) ) :

HH to all, thanks for looking in.....

Way to go. That ring is a pretty unique item. Sometimes they are more fun to find than coins.

Thanks guys. For a newbie with only two months experience, I feel pretty good about the finds so far!! I am very happy with the F75, even if I have nothing to compare it with. :)

Edit: Forgot to mention that I gave park mgmt. and mtce. my name and phone # if anyone calls about lost jewelery....it might mean something special to someone. If they can describe it, they can have it.

I found out it is a custom ring from James Avery, Kerrville, TX. http://secure.jamesavery.com/jewelr...ch/product/R-160/Eternal-Love-Ring/ The maker's mark is actually a candlestick with three candles (not arrows, bad eyes even with a loupe!) and initials "JA" below it. Also, I believe that is a copyright mark to the right of it.

should of been dimes- was it wishful thinking or where you referring to the mixed id numbers, that sometimes id's pennies and dimes as alike? I have been working very hard to resolve this, and come up with a consistent behavior I should use- still get it wrong at times. i keep trying different formulas for dig or no dig when I get the dime reading. Otherwise I am very happy and consistent with quarter, half, and nickle id and early pennies, the notch is pretty good for getting rid of zincs. Great looking ring! CO.

osgood, when I get a dime target that displays a steady 29-30 with a full round of swings, I can just about bet on it being a dime.and, maybe 50+% of the time, they are. The rest of them simply fool the machine AND me!!

Roland,Osgood, isnt 29-30 between foil and nickle??or am I missing something here? When I get a solid dime ,say 69-70 I get excited because 95% of my wheats have hit in these numbers!!...hh rick in mi.

Sorry about that, Rick!! I just read that and noticed my mistake (posted at 11:13pm, I was probably in an Ambien stupor), yes, that should have said "nickels", NOT dimes. And, my mention of "should have been dimes" was in reference to the zinc pennies I dug......they all hit as dimes. Dimes, as you correctly said, are pretty solid at 69-70 on my machine, as well.

I really need to get back out to that park, but, it is raining....big time and forecast for again tomorrow! There was a huge soccer tournament at this park last weekend (there are, at least, 6 fields, probably more) and over 5 thousand people showed up....not counting the teams

Got permission to hunt an old home site, almost an acre, that used to have a house built in the 30's. I'm really looking forward to hitting this one!!

Ha ha,had me going for a minute!!! To tell the truth I went and got my detector,to conferm!! Its difficult for me to tell the diff. between pre 80 pennys and dimes sometimes.I will hit my fav. park today hopefully before the rains get here....hh rick in mi.
oh good luck with that old homesite!!!
