Guest
I just ordered a HH pi from Mr. Bill (thanks Mr. Bill) and was hoping some of you who use this machine or one similiar have some tips.
I have never used a pi and mainly hunt with Minelabs. I hunt the ocean beaches in NJ mostly.
Thanks,
Neil

Hello Neil,
I have a headhunter Pi. I was one of the first to get one. It is a great unit that I beleive can work in any beach area in our nation. In some areas it will work at it's best while some other areas it needs to be adjusted down a notch or two. I believe in your area it will work great.
I however in my area of Ca. In the dry sand area can run it open wide. But have to reduce the Freq. down a notch or two in the wet sand area and have to also reduce the Freq. down quite a bit in the water.
Not all beaches are alike. Some are better than others. I enjoy the light weight unit and it's performance. It detects both nickels and gold rings with great depth. Opps! Almost forgot, it love's bobby pins also <IMG SRC="/forums/images/smile.gif" BORDER=0 ALT=":)">

that you check it first in wet sand for depth on a nickle= a large gold ring, in my area I get over a foot deep in wet sand. Then of course check it on a ladies engagement ring [ the size that have the $$$$ diamonds ] and see how deep you get on that in yor area. Then after the tests head out into the saltwater and hunt.Email me and let me know your feelings on the unit.HH Chuck
