SEF 6x8 coil on the SE PRO

Trashpicker

New member
I have been using the SEF coils on my Explorer XS and II. I have recently upgraded to the SE Pro machine and was wondering if anyone has used the SEF on that machine. I am interested to find out if there is any noticeable difference between the factory coil and the SEF. I have heard the factory coil is quite good, and I find the SEF coil a very good addition to the XS and II and wondered if it might enhance the performance of the SE Pro,

Thanks in advance for the feedback.

[size=large]personally if i ever buy another ML it will be an E-Trac and it will have the extra 8x6 SEF coil. i loved that coil on my EXP SE PRO.the 11" DD coil that came with it was really good but i only hunted somewhat trashy parks and such so a smaller coil worked better for me. i chose the SEF coil as it was cheaper than the SunRay brand. for the price of the Sunray coil i got the SEF with a lower rod & hardware. and the tested comparison didn't find enough differance to justify the extra cost of the Sunray brand. so far i've heard only good things about the SEF coils. except the expected added weight because of size.

Thanks for the info Widebody. I dont hunt parks, dont find any challange. I only hunt ghost towns and old dump sites. I am going to take the new machine out to an old site where a spring once was. it was used by the Spaniards traveling from Mexico north toward Santa Fe. the spring went dry in late 1920 so there are recent relics along with ancient ones. One has to sort thru the rusty cans and trash to get to the good stuff. I have been on this site in the past with the Explorer II and want to see what i find with the SE Pro and SEF 6 x 8.

I've ordered a 6x8 SEF for my Explorer SE. I've had such a great experience with the 6x8 SEF on my DFX and Ace 250 I must get another. HH. Matt
