Selling junk silver coins

What is the asking price for junk silver when selling to a dealer? I remember a post some time back that Uncle Willy or John Edmonton had about a place that they use. Any help will be appreciated.

Ebay is a good place to do it. They take a fairly hefty fee but if you list them properly, plenty of potential buyers will see your auction and you should get very close to what its actually worth. I'd estimate the fees add up to around 15% of the sale price. I find local coin shops pay anywhere from 60-75% of what junk silver coins are worth. There are better places to sell usually. If you have a decent amount try a bullion dealer. I know one that pays 90%. Shop around. Good luck.

List them in the General Merchandise Classifieds at this site. There are a few buyers here who will offer you a fair price. And you avoid the Ebay fees...
