Selling my gold

By the way I found many of my gold items with the Ace 250. It just seems to be so hot on gold. Tried several of my other machines. The 250 just seems to hit gold better.....Jack

Lots of nice gold rings,,how far back do your finds start..?

Hey Joel: Some of the rings I found several years ago. Those I will not sell. Such as a custom made Masonic ring. I went to a jeweler thar has been making custom Masonic rings for people for many years I understand. This was about fifteen years ago. He said my Masonic ring was well over a hundred years old because they had no used that design for over a hundred years. One wedding ring by the markings inside, I determined probably was made in England between 1860 and 1880 to the best of my knowledge.I have two books that are very valuablr to me. One is the gold markings of the world. and the other is the silver markings of the world. And there are a few other rings I won't sell such as one I found last November. A man's diamond ring I had appraised. (the only ring I ever had appraised)It appraised for $2000.00. I had it resized and I wear it for my wedding ring. About five years ago I decided to specialize in finding gold rings. I do not try to find old coins as I did for many years. They are fun but I like gold rings better. And they always get replenished regularly. If you are looking for old coins, you go where old coins were likely lost. If looking for gold rings you go where gold rings are likely lost. I love tot lots, volleyball courts. But the best is swimming beaches. I don't live near an ocean so I look at fresh water swimming areas...Sorry to ramble on.....Jack

wow Jack that's a nice haul there. specializing in gold would be hard work all that tinfoil & can slaw.

Thanks jackintexas for the info,,Should be interesting to see what'll you'll get for those...

I've never found anything good in volleyball courts. And I've gridded quite a few.

Because gold is so high, thinking about selling the rest of my gold. Thought I would take a pic of it first.....Jack
Be careful where you sell. Those snakes on the net only give about half of what it is worth.

There are some good gold outlets online. The best I've found is Midwest Refineries for scrap gold. They pay around 93% as long as you send them over 3/4 of an ounce (I think) and it looks like you are well over that. If the jewelry has any value above scrap I have found eBay is the way to go. Ebay takes around 5 percent in fees. Charge the buyer shipping and insurance. Don't use Paypal which is another chunk for Ebay. You'll probably get better than scrap if you list it properly and include decent photos. Good luck. I'd like to hear how it comes out.

Chris

Yeah my dear bud the 250 do love gold. Which coil do you have the best luck with? I would try to peddle some of those rings on Ebay rather than scrapping them out for spot price minus.

Bill

Yeah Stan, the fellow who makes and sells the EZ-Digger, along with other items, sells a lot of his finds on Ebay. He sold a CW buckle some time ago for $2500 on Ebay. Might give it a shot and hedge your bets. People pay outrageous prices for stuff on there. Good luck.
