I got out last Sun and Mon prior to the bad weather, and found a few things. The Marine pin is a collar device, a coworker is a Marine, he served in Viet Nam. He believes that it is from the early 60's based on there is no longitude lines on the globe as in the older ones but there is no rope on the bottom of the anchor as in the new ones. I cleaned it in an ultrasonic cleaner at work and I was able to unscrew the backer off of it.It looks to be nickle plated brass.
The quarter is my first silver for the year, I don't consider it old though... it's the same vintage as me !
They were found at different places.
