Send a sand scoop??

I would like to send a scoop to Fl. from WI. Do I need to package it up???
What I wand to know is if any body send a scoop without packing it up?? How did you send It? I would like to get this down to the guy in Fl.

I used UPS and sent a scoop to NC. You have to box it. Cut the box down to as small as you can to save shipping cost.

I had a sand scoop sent to me by a friend here in Fl. All he did was wrapped it in cardboard. UPS dropped it right at my door.
