First of all, thank you for taking the time to answer questions.
How do you determine the ideal level of sensitivity, and whether to use manual or auto?
To date, I've only got about 50 hours in. I've made some good finds, but no coins deeper than 9 inches. I've only used manual, usually between 20 and 26. I set it so that I get a threshhold maybe a quarter of the time. I'm hunting in parks w/ quite a bit of deep iron. I get a fair amount of falsing off of iron, especially square nails, but these signals have not been solidly repeatable, like an 8 inch coin. However, it slows me down quite a bit, as I'm not sure I know what a really deep coin sounds like.
Thanks in advance for your advice.
