I titled this post because we were just discussing insect bites. I was fatigued this morning and couldn't manage to get out. I did make it out at 5pm and hunted until I was stung by an insect, probably a bee but I didn't see anything but its shadow. Got me right near my right eye which became swollen very quickly. I have never reacted like this before. The whole side of my face was aching too. I decided I had better get home fast and along the way I held a frozen bottle of water on the sting. About 10 miles from home I spotted a cop on the side of the road. I noted my speed which was OK and kept going and I also noted he pulled out to follow me. When he gets up on me he lights me up and I pull over. He approached my car and asked for my license. He then asks if I have any idea why he pulled me over. I replied I didn't have a clue and that my speed was below the posted limit and my seat belt was on. He told me he saw me talking on a cell phone. I told him I didn't have a phone in the truck and that I was applying ice to a bee sting. He looked at the side of my face and after he stopped laughing he told me I better get home and take a benadryl. Stupid me, I had some in my field kit. I popped one. That stuff works wonders! By the time I got home my eye was opening up. Feel fine now.
I hate being behind a driver talking on the phone so I'm glad the local cops are doing something about it.
Got 108 clad coins, a batting cage token, .223 shell, a silver plated Hershey's Kiss, three junk fobs, and three buttons. Batteries in my camera are dead.
