Setting for F19????

tater

New member
I just bought a F19. I hunt fields where old houses once sat. I want to find everything above iron. What are the settings I need to run? I want to hear the iron but tell the difference between the 2.

Set the Disc at 0, V break at 41, No Notch, Volume at 12 or 13 and sens at 99. This will let you hear the iron with a low tone and soft volume. The Non Ferrous with be the high tone with Max volume.

Do what Tom says. I personally set Vbreak at 40 volume on 13 disc at 0 no notch. It works fine for me. My machine tends to high ton hit on the end of colonial nails but I am getting pretty use to it. You can hear a slight crackle in it. It takes some getting use to but you know it when those good signals pop through the iron. Just remember to keep your swing speed slow in that heavy iron and it will pick the goodies out. GL HH *Edit also with big iron if it is deep it will ring in as a good solid high numbers and shallow about 4-5 in. but once you start digging and you hit past that 4-5 in mark you know its just big iron down deep. Hope that helps.
