I HUNT AT THE BEACH ON THE OUTER BANKS AND IN MD.WHEN I SET UP PROGRAMS I USUALLY USE THE 5" COIL BECAUSE ITS SMALL AND EASY TO WORK WITH . WHEN I HUNT THE BEACH I USE A 14' EXCELLARATOR COIL. SHOULD I BE SETTING UP MY PROGRAMS FOR REJECTION/ACCEPT WITH THE COIL I WILL USE OR DOES IT MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE. THANKS WAYNE

probably should set up a seperate program for each coil... they do pretty much stay pretty close but some have slight variations... You could create a program for each coil and save one of each in ne of the user or disc pattern slots...

When I've fooled around with the learn function, I've used my X-1... So I don't think the coil makes a difference. You just want to make sure that you get a good accurate read on the target you want to learn. (no interference)
