Setting the Sensitivity on the Minelab Explorer

I set my minelab according to the directions and was excited to try it out. I went to a park I have hunted many times. I ground balanced first and then proceeded to move slowly back and forth. I got a continuation of so many different sounds it was unreal. What did I do wrong? This was not a trashy park, but it sounded like it.

hi, the first time i tried out my se i wanted to throw in the sea !! reduce your sensitivity in manual till the threshold sounds steady, (sometimes just turning the se off and on again works ) dont worry too much about using a lower sens you wont lose a lot of depth, when you get to know the se better you can put up with more noise and still recognise good signals (two way) hope this helps, its a long learning curve but worth it in the end.
