Fairgrounds drying up, must have been hit a lot, dirt moved, clinkers. Local parks still give up some.Homesites are great but not many homeowners want me digging in their yards. As much as I like to sweep the grass, I'm hoping to come up with some new grounds (ideas) during winter.Seems like I have to go further and farther from home to find new places. Guess the grass is always silverer on the other side of the county.

Ask to look at the Oldest Plot maps they have on file!!!!
They should at least date to the 1870's
Take GOOD camera and take lot's of pic's and go home and STUDY them!
They have a endless supply of places to find and hunt the rest of your LIFE and your childrens Life!
Most of the Older maps show Home sights with a Black Square where the house sat and Church-School-Grave yards FAIRGROUNDS!!!
You can Overlay a Modern map over the old one and Get G.P.S. readings
That will take you to the Exact spot you want to Be!
Just Make sure you get Permisson to hunt and ENJOY!!!!
P.S. SEND MAPS TO (GOLDDIGGER) J.W. :bouncy: H.H.

I don't know what part of the country you live in but Rail Road tracks and Stations of old are good sources of finds. You just have to watch your Sen. and maybe that Fast you guys like would work well. One thing is if you try it don't quit because of the slag and trash it can be very rewarding.

But I'd think there would probably be a LOT of people that might get upset at the sight of a metal detector at a gravesite...:chase:

I finally tried it this summer. Came inn the back and detected a small area with no head stones and just my luck the grounds keeper came and booted me out. I didn't feel right about it anyway but so many have said they do it. Funny thing is I found 2 gold rings and the girl that lost them.
