28 days since Brian last had food or water.

After a very traumatic couple of hours, Brian finally relaxed and started breathing easier. His heart rate was as low as 72 at one point.

Time to try to get some rest.

We read all of your messages and are touched by your words of encouragement, your thoughts and prayers.

Thank you for all of your support!

Breathing crisis this morning...

...Brian is struggling to get air and nothing we do seems to help. We have changed his trach 3 times and each time it has been clear. We have adjusted the elevation of his head and that hasn't helped either. Our weekend hospice nurse is here now.

Brian did great overnight.

...we are having to use 100% oxygen to increase hs intake.

...he is off of the oxygen too. It is almost as if a tumor is partially blocking the trach because suctions are clear and we have changed the trach several times and they have been clear also.

This is so sad and a heart breaker, I check several times a day on updates on Brian.
Brian is so tough to keep hanging in for so long.
He is in my thoughts and prayers everyday.
