Shadow Super 9" coil

Tinfoil

New member
Will it work on a Golden UMax. The Golden UMax is a 10khz machine and the Super 9" 19Khz works on the shadow X3 and The X5. Yet it is a 5 pin plug and plugs into my Golden UMax. The shadow X3 and X5 are 19khz machine and the Super 9" I think is a 19Khz coil.

I even sent The Super 9" along with my newer Golden UMax to Tesoro and they tuned it up. However the tones are off and I can't get them right by adjusting the lower Trim Pot. Just don't act like my older Golden UMax. I really think the 9" is not suppose to work on the Golden UMax. This is the newer Golden UMax with the vents on the box. I guess I will have to send it back to Rusty and have him tune it to one of my 9X 8 coils.

I guess I screwed up and sent the wrong coil with the Golden. I thought it would work but now that I see how much the different KHZ's are I guess I blew it. It has been a long time since I had my Golden's out and I could have swore I used that 9" coil on my Golden's before. I guess I am just getting old. Probably have to put training wheels on the Golden. At least my OLD Golden UMax came back working great tuned to my 5" coil. I would try and put the 9" on my old golden but since it works so good I just don't want to take a chance. Anyway, any help would be appreciated. The tones I can't get right, and the notches just don't work right. Thanks for your help in advance. HH Jerry aka Tinfoil

A Fisher (X3, X5) coil on a Tesoro? It my be a Shadow coil but not not made by Tesoro, I'm surprised that Rusty could even get it to work....

Hey Fellers, If it's any help , Tesoro did make a Super 9 Inch 5 pin coil for the Troy Shadow X 2., along with the Super 7 coil ! The 9 should fit on all theµMax machines and also on some of the non µMax Machines. I use to use the 7 & 9 on My Tesoro Golden Sabre 2. I think I used them a few times on My Inca but the original 8 1/2" performed better for me. Ask Rusty to give you the full info on it! HH, Charlie

Yep you are 100% correctamundo. I called Troy and talked to him about 30min. and it was called an accessories coil known as the Super 9. The X3and X5 coils are not marked. I did find out from Rusty and Carl that every Golden UMax works sort of different from one another. Anyway got to send it back as I could never get the tones right and get it tuned to the 9x8 coil. Just going to keep my super 9 as I will probley sell the new Golden after they tune it up. I don,t need 2 of them. Thanks for all the help. HH Jerry aka Tinfoil
