Shaft length

Boris

New member
I have convinced my lady friend that she should upgrade to an X-terra 50 or 70, she tried my machine out and loved it but her being 5'1" tall of course the shaft was to long. this being somewhat common has Minelab offered the machine with a shorter shaft?

I had the same problem with the original shaft on my xterra 50 and I purchased the shorter shaft. There are some , that are handy with tools, that cut there original shaft to make it work.

Thanks for the reply, I was kinda hoping I could order it with the short shaft and not have the expense of the 2nd shaft.

Mine Lab makes a shorter shaft option for the x-70 unit (see page 51 in your manual)

Check with your metal detector dealer and he should be able to order one for you.

I don't understand why you can't order the machine equiped with the short shaft, I don't see what the purpose of having both is. Why not have the option of either the short OR the long shaft not the short AND the long shaft.Anyways that makes sense to me but I could be looking at it oddly I guess.
